Elizabeth Zahrndt

Portland, ME – Elizabeth “Betty” Zahrndt, 90, formally of Hampton, NH, passed away on June 9, 2026, at her home. Betty was born on April 19, 1936, in Lynn, MA daughter of the late Walter Schumacher and Mary (Dow) D’Angelis.

Betty is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth Zahrndt; sisters, Ruth Walker and Patricia Schumacher; brother, David Schumacher. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy and her husband Joe Napoleone and Pamella Chatfield; grandchildren, Cynthia Colson, Andrew Gillis, Matthew Gillis, Sidney Chatfield, and Matthew Chatfield; 4 great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held from 1pm – 3pm on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Conroy-Tully Walker, Funeral, Cremation, and Gathering Center, 300 Allen Ave. Portland, ME.
