South Portland – Edmund L. Croxford, 73, passed away on May 20, 2026, at his home. Ed was born on June 21, 1952, in Portland, son of the late Kingsbury Croxford and Lorene (Cash) DePrez.
Ed was an excellent piano player. He played with many bands in the area and had several bands of his own.
He loved jazz and was seen at many venues where they played live music. He met many cherished friends both through playing and watching others play.
Golf was Ed’s passion for many years and when he couldn’t play anymore, he watched it on tv until the end.
His granddaughters were the most special people in the world to him. His face would light up the minute they walked into the room. He never had a conversation where he didn’t mention how special they were. They felt the same about him and will miss their Papa desperately.
Ed was predeceased by his siblings, Charles Croxford and Patti Evans. He is survived by the love of his life, Robin Monroe; a son, Damian Croxford; step-daughters, Tamara Monroe and her partner Brian O’Shaughnessy, and Keelan Monroe and her husband Patrick Burke; granddaughters, Kelledy and Arley Burke; bouns granddaughter, Penny O’Shaughnessy; siblings, David and his wife Cindy Croxford, Marie Croxford, Pam and her husband Chuck LaMay, and Ellie and her husband Jim Califano; sister-in-law, Miyon Croxford; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Pre Ed’s request, there will be no services in his memory.
