Alfred R. “Al” Dubay

October 30, 1952 ~ March 26, 2026

Alfred R. “Al” Dubay, 73, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 26, 2026 with his family by his side.

Al was born on October 30, 1952 to the late Patrick and Diana (Croteau) Dubay in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  He was married to Cindy (Caron) Dubay, his best friend and love of his life for over 30 years.  Al and Cindy enjoyed building their home in Rangely together, sharing many long back road ride adventures together.  Boating, Hunting, fishing and kayaking were among his favorite things to do.  He loved to go four-wheeling with Cindy as well as going fishing, kayaking and bird hunting with his daughter Karen.  Al enjoyed a special relationship with his oldest granddaughter Lexi Abbott. He loved the many weekends that she spent at his home and laughed every time that she reminded him that she was, “Only there for the bacon Pepere!”. They always made each other laugh and she is going to miss him very much.

Al and Cindy were very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to many islands as well as going camping in many states while enjoying each other’s company.  Al worked at Pratt & Whitney in various positions, mostly working on aircraft parts and processes for 30 years.

Al was predeceased by his parents and by a brother, Don Dubay.

Al is survived by his wife Cindy of Lebanon; his daughter Karen of Sanford; his son Joe, of North Berwick; his step-children, Lori (Bond) and Dan Talbot and Rick and Ally Bond, both of Sanford; his siblings, Jeannette and Alex Montgomery of Acton, Brenda and Bill Dawson of South Berwick, Ron and Mary Dubay of South Berwick, Jeanne and Tim Harding of West Lebanon; his favorite brother-in-law, Mark Caron and his fiancée Michelle and his beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, Tyler, and Nathan Abbott, Bella, Ari and Isaac Bond and Luciana Chapdelaine.  He is also survived by his uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He will also be sadly missed by his favorite fur baby, Harley.

At Al’s request, arrangements will be private.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution in Al’s memory to Hospice of Southern Maine.
