Ernest C Mills

STANDISH – Ernest C. Mills passed away at the age of 84 on January 20, 2026, after having cancer.

He was a carpenter by trade most of his life and an expert at tree removal around houses. He loved hunting and fishing in his younger years and cared deeply for our natural environment. He also was passionate about many Democratic and Environmental causes during his life. He was generous with people often helping with carpentry projects and tree cutting free of charge. He enjoyed buying and selling things, typically having a barn full of all different kinds of cool stuff. What mattered most to him was his family and friends.

A service in his honor and memory will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the new Conroy-Tully Walker Cremation, Funeral, and Gathering Center, 300 Allen Avenue, Portland.
