Bradley M. Kienia

Bradley M. Kienia, 66, of Machias, Maine, passed away on December 10, 2025 at Down East Community Hospital in Machias, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born on March 6, 1959, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, to Edward and Irene (Barton) Kienia. He attended Southern Maine schools, and lived and worked in Southern and Northern Maine.

Bradley loved family and found his greatest joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting with his brothers, fishing, vegetable gardening, and tapping maple trees and making maple syrup. Spending time in nature brought him the greatest peace and enjoyment.

He was predeceased by both his parents and his brother, Shawn Kienia.

Bradley is survived by his siblings, Doug Kienia and his wife Terry of Port Charlotte, FL; Gayle Bice of Warner Robins, GA; Walter Kienia; William Kienia and his wife Lisa of Greenbush, ME; and Lori Bartlett and her husband Robert of Buxton, ME, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Brad will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Services will be held on January 9th at Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home in Springvale, Maine. Burial will take place in the Spring at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
