Born in: Rochester, New Hampshire
Resided in: Sanford, Maine
Stephen K. Daudelin, 73, of Sanford, passed away peacefully at his home on December 9, 2025.
Born on September 16, 1952, in Rochester, New Hampshire, Stephen was the son of Harold and Maralyn (Corson ) Daudelin. He grew up in Rochester and attended local schools.
Stephen was a true tech lover long before it was cool. He spent nearly 20 years with Biddeford Public Access, where he worked behind the scenes on all the cameras, cables, and sound equipment.
An avid sports fan, Stephen loved cheering for all the New England teams — the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. He woke up most mornings ready with a joke and was known for his humor and upbeat spirit. For a time, he even dabbled in magic tricks, always happy to get a laugh or a smile from anyone watching.
At home, Stephen cherished time with his family. He also enjoyed being with his cats, Baby and Kenny, and sharing the occasional dance with his wife, Joanne.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Harold Daudelin Jr.; his sister, Linda Boudreau; a daughter, Sheila Thain; and his stepson, Shane Ricker.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Daudelin of Sanford; his daughter, Stacey Plummer, his stepdaughter, Donna Turcotte of Biddeford; and grandchildren, Andrew Smalley, Kirstin Vanasse, Kalle Turner, Justin Roberge, Carter Braely, and Brayden Turcotte. He also leaves behind nieces Jessica Deaguero of Texas and Becky Boudreau of New Hampshire; nephews Kevin Daudelin of Florida and Scott Boudreau of Oregon; his aunt, Priscilla Perron of Dover, NH; great-nieces and great-nephews Bo, Zoee, Buster, Aubree, and Wally; as well as several other extended family members.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a time of sharing beginning at 5:00 p.m.
