Alan D. Fife

March 31, 1952 ~ December 2, 2025

Born in: Dover, New Hampshire
Resided in: Sanford, Maine

Alan Fife, 73, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at his residence.

Born on March 31, 1952 in Dover, New Hampshire, Alan grew up in South Berwick and was the son of Evelyn Cook. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps for two years.

During his working years, Alan spent time in factory production, drove truck and enjoyed seeing different parts of the country, and later served as a correctional officer.

A homebody at heart, he loved walking around Number One Pond, often pausing to capture photos—especially of the sky—that he happily shared along with his trademark “good morning” posts on social media. In earlier years, he enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. No matter where he was, Alan had a friendly spirit, a warm smile, and a way of making others feel welcome.

Above all, Alan was a loving father to his three “princesses,” Theresa Deshaies, Tonya Mains, and Ashleigh Fife. He cherished the time he spent with them and held a particularly special bond with his grandson, Logan, who brought him great pride and joy.

Alan was predeceased by his mother, Evelyn, and his brothers Ronnie, Sonny, and sister Pat.

He is survived by his daughters, Theresa, Tonya, and Ashleigh; his grandchildren, Logan, Emily, and Bella Deshaies, and Elijah and Maximus Chamberlin; his sister, Edith; and his lifelong friend, Gary Ross.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
