Jeffery Michael Guill, 40, of Sanford, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 28, 2025. His loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Jeffery was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on October 13, 1985, to Melissa Weeks and William Chamberlain. He spent his early years in the Virginia Beach area, attending local schools and building friendships he cherished. At age 15, he moved to Maine with his mother and family, where he continued to grow into the warm, outgoing, and big-hearted man so many were blessed to know.
During his working life, Jeffery was employed as a cook for many years at several local restaurants, including Smitty’s Cinemas and Run of the Mill in Saco. He took great pride in his work, and his strong work ethic and easygoing nature endeared him to coworkers and customers alike.
Jeffery had a passion for football, music, and the people he cared about. He especially loved the band 311, and counted himself lucky to have seen them perform in concert many times. Music was a source of joy and comfort for him. He was also a devoted animal lover—deeply attached to his dogs, Bruiser and Murphy, who brought him endless companionship and happiness.
Known for his outgoing spirit and wide circle of friends, Jeffery had a way of making others feel welcome and valued. He had a playful side as well, and he adored Halloween—planning costumes, entering contests, and fully embracing the fun and creativity of the holiday. His laughter, energy, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeffery is survived by his mother, Melissa Weeks, and stepfather David Daigle of Sanford; his father, William Chamberlain, and wife Tina of Chesapeake, Virginia; stepfather Scott Weeks of Sanford; his sister Ashley Weeks of Sanford; his brother Nicholas Weeks of Sanford and his step-brother, Chris Akers of Chesapeake, Virginia. He leaves behind a loving family and many friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 7th at the Black Heald & Walker Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.
Those wishing to express their sympathy may consider a memorial contribution in Jeffery’s name to the Animal Welfare Society, PO Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04094, reflecting his lifelong love of animals.
