George E. Bunker, 72, of Acton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Pinnacle Health & Rehab in North Berwick.
Born in Sanford, Maine on August 12, 1953, to Ralph and Alice Bunker, George grew up with a strong sense of family and the values that would guide him throughout his life. He spent many dedicated years working as a welder and press operator at Hussey Seating in North Berwick, where he was known for his steady work ethic and reliability.
George was an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in the natural world. Whether hunting in the quiet woods, casting a line into a favorite fishing spot, or sitting around a campfire with loved ones, the outdoors was where he felt most at home. He generously shared those passions with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
Known for his great sense of humor, George had a gift for making people laugh and lifting their spirits. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around him. George married the love of his life, Debra, in 1983, and together they raised one daughter, Jody, who was the light of his life. His grandson, Tyler, brought him immense pride and joy.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Bunker of Acton; his daughter, Jody Bunker, her son Tyler and her fiancée Steve Kastberg, all of Acton; and his six siblings: Theresa Waddington and her husband David of Florida, Carlton Bunker and his wife Donna of Acton, Sylvia Armand and her husband Jim of Brookfield, New Hampshire, Linda Grant and her husband Terry of Acton, Darlene Ham and her husband Kevin of Acton, and Christine Bunker of Florida. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he cared for deeply.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Chris Bunker.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Acton, where family and friends will gather to honor George’s life and legacy.
George will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
