Joanne (Maskevich) Lombardi

Springvale, Maine – Joanne (Maskevich) Lombardi, 85, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in the comfort of her beautiful home on the river, surrounded by her loving family and her cherished cat, Buddy.

Joanne was the beloved wife of the love of her life, Michael P. Lombardi, who sadly predeceased her on August 3, 1999, at the age of 64.

She is survived by her son Christopher Lombardi (Jacqueline) of Denver, CO, and her daughter Leslie Morissette (Gary) of Springvale, ME. Joanne was the proud grandmother of Tiana Paquette (Shane) and Deneka Morissette (Jonathan), and is lovingly reunited with her “angel grandson,” Graham Morissette, who passed away on December 24, 1997.

She also leaves behind her siblings James E. Burton III (Angela), Vicky Bueno (Dan), and Linda Hedblom (Sam), as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Joanne married her high school sweetheart, Michael, on October 17, 1959. Together, they began a life of adventure as an Air Force family, living across the country and spending five years in Germany. During their time abroad, they traveled extensively throughout Europe, believing strongly in exposing their family to new experiences and cultures.

A talented floral designer, Joanne also had a passion for cooking, refinishing furniture and collecting artwork. She was deeply committed to volunteerism and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. In her later years, she became an avid reader, delighting in both love stories and non-fiction, always eager to learn more about the world around her.

A celebration of life will be held in Spring 2026, with details to follow.
