Joshua Cole Bragg

April 8, 1992 ~ October 7, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Joshua (Josh) Bragg, aged 33, of Shapleigh, Maine, on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. Joshua was born on April 8th, 1992, to Vicki and Wayne Bragg in Sanford, Maine. He spent his childhood in Acton, Maine, attending Sanford High School and graduating in 2010. From there, he started a career as a Welder at Rubb, then finished his career of almost the last ten years at Pratt and Whitney.

Josh met Melissa and began a relationship in October 2015. They were engaged in December 2017, bought a house in June 2018, and on October 12th, 2019, they were married at The Roost in Buxton, Maine. With Melissa by his side, Josh poured all his love into building every part of their life together — not just home projects, but memories, adventures, and dreams. Together, they looked ahead to a future full of love and the simple joy of sharing it with all those they held dear.

Josh was a man of many friends, family, and acquaintances who all quickly recognized that he was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back. He was known for his quick smile, witty sense of humor, and caring nature. He was generous, accommodating, and friendly with anyone who came into his life.

Josh loved seeing and experiencing the world and nature- from cruising, traveling, side-by-side, motorcycle, and snowmobile adventures to hiking and bike rides with his wife and loved ones. He was an avid sports fan. Specifically, cheering on the New England Patriots at NFL football games, as well as attending multiple NASCAR events. He was always ready for the next adventure, especially surrounded by the people he cared for the most.

Joshua is survived by his wife, Melissa, and many others who held him dearly in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale, Maine, from 3 PM to 7 PM.  A Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Waterboro Snowmobile club from 11 am to 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate to: Ossipee Mountaineers Snowmobile Club, P.O. Box 273, 255 Old Alfred Road, East Waterboro, ME, 04030.
