Ryan Jordan

November 16, 1978 ~ October 2, 2025

Portland – Ryan Jordan, 46, passed away October 2, 2025 at Maine Medical Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by family.

Ryan was born on November 16, 1978, first of four children to Timothy and Pamela Jordan.

He was a devoted husband, proud father, caring brother, adoring uncle, loving son and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife Stephanie and their two incredible sons Bailey and Quinn. He is also survived by his loving parents, Tim and Pam; his mother-in-law Carol; his brother-in-law Jeff and partner Kelly; his sister Meghan and husband Sal; his brother Shawn and wife Stephanie; his brother Joel and partner Amber; and his nieces and nephews, DiMaggio, Brynn, Atlas, Hazel, and Rowan.

To his friends and family Ryan will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, and gentle empathetic nature. In his own quiet way, he was the light-hearted epicenter of any social gathering. He magnetized and inspired. He led by example. He was ever a warm and reliable presence.

To the broader community Ryan will be remembered for his leadership and contributions to Portland youth sports. Over the years he dedicated time to Deering High School Boys Basketball (Assistant Coach), Portland Little League (President), Portland Youth Football League (President) and various other coaching and volunteer responsibilities. For Ryan, these experiences were always about more than a love of sports, which he had in spades. He was fostering an environment for young people to share in his passion and find fulfillment through discipline and commitment. He was a natural-born leader and role model to all those he coached and mentored.

Ryan is predeceased by his good friend Brendan Conway, who passed away in 2013, also tragically too young. Following Brendan’s passing Ryan led and organized an annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament in honor of Brendan and to raise funds for a scholarship in his name.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Ryan’s family at the new Conroy-Tully Walker Cremation, Funeral & Gathering Center, 300 Allen Avenue, Portland, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, where a Remembrance Ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Stevens Avenue, Portland. As you enter the main gates at the cemetery, the gravesite can be found by taking the first left onto Memorial Drive.

In lieu of flowers and for those who would like to support the family, donations can be made to a scholarship fund dedicated to Ryan’s sons Bailey and Quinn (Please see link below).

Now we will always have the memories of Ryan in our hearts forever he was a wonderful and good cousin to me, cheryl and susan and everyone else and he was a good father, husband, brother, and uncle to. Now that he is singing with uncle Doug and aunt Sally now.i know that he is watching down over us all.

  3. My thoughts and prayers are with Stephanie and the boys. It was a delight to work with Ryan at Hannaford. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in Peace Ryan.

    • Steph, Bailey and Quinn: I am so, so sorry for your loss. My boys and I are sending you our deepest condolences.

  4. So many great memories with Ryan (“Jo-Ordon”to me) from watching countless Duke basketball games at his house (and more Christian Laettner replays), to little league and high school baseball, to many good times hanging out in college and beyond. Always appreciated all he did for youth sports, especially with Portland Little League- where we had many of our first memories. Sending much love to his family and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.

  5. Tim and family, I am incredibly sad to hear of Ryan’s passing. Although I didn’t know Ryan personally, I felt like I did thru the stories Tim would share at Unum back in the day. Tim was so proud of Ryan, and all of his kids for that matter. My condolences to the Jordan family.

  6. Words cannot take away your pain, but I hope you gain strength from the friends and family who love you.

  7. My deepest condolences to you and your boys. May your memories give you comfort during this difficult time and always.

  9. To my Jordan Family,
It was immediately apparent that Ryan was one-of-a-kind way back when he was just a tiny little boy. From his adorable toddler days right up to the last time I saw him, he made it so easy to love him. His calm demeanor, fantastic laugh, love for his family and his compassion for all those he came in contact with made him someone truly special. May the wonderful memories you shared with Ryan sustain you through the days, weeks and months ahead. Until we meet again my sweet cousin, I love you.

  10. I worked with Ryan at Olympia Sports. I know I and reiterating how everyone feels about Ryan. He had a positive at like no other and was the nicest guy you would ever meet. Ryan’s passion for life was intoxicating and motivating. Everyone who crossed paths with Ryan is a better person today.
