Jerrick “Jack Travellin” Bernier

Jerrick Anthony Bernier, known to many as “Jack Travellin”, age 35, of North Berwick, ME passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2025. He was born on June 26th, 1990, in Rochester, New Hampshire to Robert E. Bernier Jr. and Cory Bernier.

Jerrick grew up in Lebanon, ME, where he shared a wonderful childhood full of adventure and lasting friendships. He graduated high school with honors and went on to serve his country enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the service, life brought challenges, yet through it all, Jerrick remained a loving son, grandson, brother, loyal friend and father.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in fishing, camping, hiking and being surrounded by all that nature had to offer. Music was another passion of his, and in high school he was the lead singer of a band. Jerrick was also a gifted writer, always brimming with creativity, and had been working on a novel. To those who knew him well, the name “Jack Travellin” reflected his adventurous spirit, his dreams, and the way he carried himself through life with big ideas and an even bigger heart.

Jerrick is survived by his son, Jace Clark Travellin, of New York; His parents, Robert E. Bernier Jr. of Sanford and Cory Bernier of North Berwick, his sister Jayde Doe, his brother Jeffrey Bernier and his grandmother, Anne Dyer with whom he lived. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory and miss him deeply.

A service to honor Jerrick’s life will be held on Friday, September 26th at Black Heald and Walker Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Gathering to begin at 11:30 with a memorial service at 12:00, burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, in Springvale.

Though Jerrick wrestled with questions of faith, his family takes comfort in knowing he is now in God’s hands, held with the same love and mercy that he often showed to others.

  3. I don’t have the right words. I didn’t have the easiest social experience in school. Jerrick was a wonderful person who was always kind to everyone. I wonder if he knew how much I appreciate and care for him, how much of a light he was. I wish I had told him while I could have. Rest peacefully Jerrick, you beautiful soul. I’ll be missing you.
