Deanne L. Lance

Deanne Louise Lance passed away peacefully at Pinnacle Health & Rehab on June 28, 2025 in North Berwick, Maine at the age of 87.

Deanne is survived by her son Scott (Terri) Stogner of Boron, California; daughter’s Janet (Ronald) Paquin of Sanford, Maine; Cindy Standley of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Sarah Jones of Mayfield, Kentucky. Stepson, Shawn Lance and stepdaughters Dorothy (Paul) Craft and Crystal (Art Rangel) Lance both of Mesa, Arizona. Her sister’s Colleen Webb, Lois Lynne and Patrice Walters and her twin brother Dean Lowe and brother David Walters. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Keith Lance on January 18, 2025 and stepson Ronald Keith Lance, Jr.

Deanne was born on July 27, 1937 in Firth, Idaho to Harold Lowe and Louise Walters. She attended schools in Firth and Idaho Falls, Idaho. She married and moved to California at 18 and lived there most of her life until moving to Maine with her husband Ron after she retired. Maine was her favorite place to live!

She wanted nothing more than to be a wife and a mother. Being home was her happy place. She had a talent for home décor and you felt and saw that when you entered her home. She loved working outside in the flowers and garden and continued to can vegetables from the garden well into her 70’s.

She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a gift for always serving others. Her favorite place to serve was at the temple. She was an ordinance worker at the San Diego, California, Memphis, Tennessee and Boston, Massachusettes temples.

A memorial service is scheduled for July 8, 2025 at 4pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 25 Westview Drive, Sanford, Maine. Burial will be in the fall in Firth, Idaho. The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Pinnacle Health & Rehab in North Berwick along with Wentworth Hospice for their love and dedication to Deanne’s care.
