SANFORD—Cheryl W. Rhoda, 69, of Sanford, died peacefully on Monday May 26, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Sanford the daughter of Charles and Anita Wentworth. She grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School in 1974. She had just celebrated her 50th high school reunion this past summer.
After high school, Cheryl lived in Rochester New York and later in Florida, where she met her husband, Mike. Her father came to Florida to live with her for a time and when he passed away, Cheryl and Mike moved back to Maine. Cheryl opened her Stained Glass Studio, Glasworx which she operated up until her retirement in 2021.
Cheryl loved to cook and bake and was a successful gardener. She and Mike enjoyed travelling to Guilford to enjoy live music. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Cheryl was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Brian Wentworth.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Karen Hamel and grandson, Mason Eck of Bradenton, FL; her son, Eric Hamel and a cousin, Hope Titcombe.
There will not be any services at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home of Sanford-Springvale.

Mike and family- she may be gone but cherish the time you had and keep those good memories flowing !
Cheryl had a heart of gold. She taught me stained glass, a gift I will always carry with me. She was a great friend and loved her husband, Mike, as well as her daughter, Karen, grandson, Mason and cousin, Hope and was always there when anyone needed a hug or a shoulder to cry on. I miss her so much!
I am so blessed that I got to know you and call you my friend. My days spent in your shop was my happy place.
