SANFORD—Lucien Joseph Bouchard, 70, of Sanford, died Wednesday March 26, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Fort Kent, Maine on September 28, 1954 the son of Hubald and Annie (Rossignol) Bouchard. He grew up in Frenchville but moved to Sanford at the age of 16. Lucien worked ar Aero Fab painting planes and was a machine operator at Rubb but was a mechanic most of his life, owning his own garage for a number of years before eventually going to work for the Town of Wells. He worked there for many years as a mechanic/equipment operator until his retirement. He married his wife, Victoria in 1989 and they remained close right up until his passing.

When he wasn’t working, Lucien still enjoyed working on cars, playing pool and going fishing. He also loved to play cards and enjoy an occasional beer with friends and family. He was very much a family man.

Lucien is survived by his former wife, Victoria; his daughters, Joanne Poissonier of Sanford and Michelle Poissonier of Sanford; his stepdaughter, June Zousoumas and her partner Eric Nichols; his grandchildren, Kurtis Frank, Samantha, Shutan and Jessica Poissonier; his brother, Jerry Bouchard of Florida and his sister, Rose Cox of Connecticut as well as many nieces and nephews.

A time of sharing will be held at the Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale on Tuesday April 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
