SANFORD—Michael M. Cozzone, 81, of Sanford, died peacefully on Thursday February 13, 2025 in Kennebunk. He was born in Methuen, Massachusetts on October 30, 1943 the son of Guido and Angelina (Lombardi) Cozzone. He grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts and graduated from Lawrence High School. He worked at several jobs over the years but eventually settled in to a job in the computer room at Arlington Trust. He remained there until his health forced his retirement in 1992. In 2001, Michael moved to Maine and lived with his son, Michael, Jr. for several years. Most recently, Michael lived at the Maples in Sanford. When he wasn’t working, Michael enjoyed going out to eat, car shows, fishing, time with his family, movies and his beloved Boston sports teams. Mike was predeceased by his twin sister, Anna Christie and his former wife and good friend, Evelyn Adams. He is survived by his son, Michael Cozzone, Jr.; his daughter, Annmarie Baker; his grandchildren, Brandon and Gabriella as well several nieces and nephews including Angela Champeau and John Christie. A time to remember and celebrate Mike’s life will be held at the Carll-Heald and Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale on Saturday February 22 at 1:00 pm

  4. There are so many wonderful memories with uncle Mike I enjoyed spending time with him and so did my children and grandchildren. My youngest grandson Jayvian Christie. The General as uncle Mike called him had such a beautiful bond last time Uncle was visiting in Manchester NH Jayvian was saying uncle Mike head was the moon cause it’s round and soft and boy did Uncle Mike get a laugh out of that. We all have lost a very special person in our lives I love u sooooo much Uncle Mike and hey if you could tell jizzy I said hi ❤️
