James "Jimmy" Michael King passed away on January 28, 2022, in his home in Sanford, Maine. Born February 25th, 1958, Jimmy grew up in the Bangor/ Brewer area. He graduated from Brewer high where he met many lifelong friends and gained a love of basketball. Jimmy held a variety of jobs during his life, including his long-time job with multiple positions at Standard Electric, recently he worked passionately as a kitchen manager at Market Basket, and by far his most beloved job was being a stay-at-home dad for his children, Castine and Kayden. For the last 29 years of his life, Jimmy lived with his wife Kristi in Sanford, Maine. He took joy in renovating and updating his home in interesting ways. Jimmy used his knack for numbers to graduate with his degree in accounting from Husson University in 1996. Jimmy enjoyed the most the out life, especially sports, fast cars, and rock music. Jimmy's greatest accomplishment in this life was his children. He loved being a dad more than anything in the world. He wore many hats, some days he was a baker, a builder, or an artist. Anything he needed to do to make his children's dreams come true for that day. Having the kindest heart and a wry sense of wit he was always the first to offer anyone his help or give them a laugh. Jimmy is survived by his wife of over 20 years Kristi Wescott King and his children Castine and Kayden, his brother Johnny, his nephew Tyler and his family, his aunt Donna Parlin and his Stepmother Donna King and her children. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Wesley and Mary P. King, and his brother Stephen. Jimmy will be buried in the early spring next to his mother, father, and brother. Details will be provided by the family closer to that time.
