Roberta J. Picard

Roberta J. Picard, 93, of Springvale passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born on May 1, 1928, the youngest of 9 children to Plummer and Ruth (Leighton) Jones in Dennysville. She grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School and Husson College.
On December 26, 1947, Roberta married Robert Picard and together they shared 57 happy years of marriage until his passing in 2004.
Roberta was employed locally as a secretary at the Goodall Mills until its closing. She was office manager at Eastern Plastics for 26 years and worked at Sprague Electric from where she retired in 1990.
She enjoyed playing golf with her husband and was a member of the Sanford Country Club.
Other hobbies included skiing, spending summers on Mousam Lake, flower gardening and making crafts.
She was very independent, living on her own and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Roberta is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pine St., Springvale.
