Curt James Carlson, 60, passed away at home after a short illness on Monday, March 28, 2022. Curt was born on March 2, 1962, in Quincy Massachusetts to James and Joyce (Baker) Carlson. He graduated from Danvers High School before joining the United States Army as a SP4. Curt continued his education to earn a degree of Associate of Applied Science in Computer Applications Technology and multiple certifications: CLP, CCA, MCP. In his earlier years he drove a truck across the United States as a mover. Throughout his career he worked numerous other positions including Systems Administrator/Developer, IT Manager, Network Administrator, Technical Support Specialist and then retired in 2018. Curt was so proud of his two sons, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. He loved to take photographs and was an unofficial photographer for the sports his sons were in for Sanford. He spent time with his family and enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Curt was predeceased by his father and mother. Curt is survived by his dear wife Margaret Lynn Carlson of Sanford, son Eric Carlson and wife Jessie, grandchildren, Isabelle, Juliett, and Emett, of Waterboro, son Justin Carlson of Waterboro, sister Donna (Carlson) Reynolds and husband Donnie, nieces Cari, Abigail, and Becca of Peabody, MA, brother Keith Carlson and wife Lauri, and nieces Emily and Jessica of Ipswich, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale 83 Stanley Rd. Springvale, ME 04083 A service will be held in his honor at noon, Monday, April 4th, at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, located at 83 Stanley Rd, Springvale Maine, 04083. A reception will follow at the Carlson's home Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
