Jeannine Beattie
October 19, 1933 ~ October 16, 2021
Jeannine R. Beattie, 87, of Westbrook, formerly Sanford died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, following a brief illness on October 16, 2021. She was born October 19, 1933 in Sanford, she was the daughter of Alfred and Melina (Camire) Roussin. She was one of 5 children, all of whom predeceased her.
In 1951, she graduated from St.Ignatius High School in Sanford. There she met her lifelong friends of 80 years who meant the absolute world to her.
A loyal friend, a trustworthy neighbor, a woman of great faith, who was an active parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua in Westbrook. An avid knitter, QVC watcher, and world traveler. She was a truly selfless person with a huge heart. Her light and beauty shined so bright that it exuded so clearly from her tiny little frame. Loved by all who knew her for her sweet demeanor. Though not to be mistaken for weakness, as she was one of the toughest ladies out there.
Jeannine's greatest joy came from her family. She met the love of her life Aaron when she was just thirteen years old. They were married on October 23, 1954 in Sanford. They remained married for 52 years before Aaron's passing in 2006. She was a loving and proud mother and "Memere" to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family time was everything to her, she was her grandchildren's number one fan who would gladly travel any distance to follow their many activities, always there to cheer them on.
Jeannine will be missed by many, but most of all by her beloved family. Daughter, Diane Kimball, son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Patricia Beattie, and daughter-in-law, Melinda Beattie, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Aaron, son Kevin Beattie, son-in-law Steven Kimball, grandson Jeffrey Beattie and great grandson Bronson Gould.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 22nd from 4 to 7PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 23rd at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Yes Jeannine was my cousin but also a co worker and just a wonder caring lady. Always willing to help and listen when you needed an ear. Her smile was real not clued on. I can sit and think of all the family members and residence’s that she would help out with out even thinking twice. Jeannine will live on in so many hearts. In mine as in so many others that she touched in so many positive and happy ways. GOD BLESS Diane Brian and all her family and friends Love and hugs Your cousin Terry BT Erickson
