Monique M. Lemay, 75, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born on October 10, 1946, the only child of Antonio and Annette (Vachon) Lemay in Sanford. She then attended local Catholic Schools including Notre Dame Elementary and graduated from St. Ignatius High School with the class of 1964. Monique was a lifelong resident of Springvale until she recently moved to Sanford. She married Richard Lemay and together they had a son, Steven. Over the years, Monique was employed at various locations such as Sprague Electric, Cyro Industries, Jagger Mills, Sanford Healthcare, worked as a chambermaid and also a house keeper for the St. Ignatius Parish. She loved to garden and looked forward to the changing seasons so that she could have her yard and flowers looking great. She also loved to take walks. She especially loved the time she spent with her granddaughters. Monique is predeceased by her husband of 45 years Richard Lemay (2010). She is survived by her husband Norman Bergeron, her son Steven Lemay and his wife Carol, granddaughters Amanda Lemay and Alicia Lemay both of Sanford, and three great grandchildren. Memorial Services are private.   1. Aunt Monique called me often to check how Earl and I were faring. She knew Earl was not well. It was thoughtful of her. I will always remember her kindness.

    Over the years we lost contact but thanks to my cousin Tom we connected again a few years ago, here in Texas. RIP dear friend.
