Edna M. Colby

Edna M. Colby, 93, of Lebanon, ME, passed away on Sunday July 31, 2011 at the Kennebunk Nursing Home. She was born in Waterboro on June 14, 1918, a daughter of the late Perley and Nellie (Poole) Thompson.She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and the Boston Red Sox.She was fully committed to raising her large family.She is predeceased by her husband, Louis Colby, sons, Parker Colby, Bernard Colby, Robert Colby, Richard Colby, brothers, Everett Thompson and Lester Thompson.She is survived by her children, Marilyn Emmons of Lebanon, Ronald Colby of North Berwick, Edward Colby of Lebanon, William Colby of Springvale, Katherine Ruel of North Berwick, Roger Colby of Lebanon, April Hilton of Lebanon and Earl Colby of Sanford, many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.A Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10AM at the Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
