Hubert " Chuck" Cluett III, 50, of Newfield, died on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Maine Medical Center in Portland with his family at his side. He went home peacefully to be with the Lord following a long battle with cancer.Chuck was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on November 4, 1958 to Hubert "Hubie" and Virginia "Ginger" Cluett. He served in the Marine Corps from 1975 until 1981. Following his enlistment, he and his dad, Hubie started a carpentry business in Gloucester. He continued working his carpentry business until retiring to Maine in 1999 due to declining health. Chuck loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf with his stepson, four-wheeling and canoeing on the Saco River. He was an active member of the Newfield Fire Department and Rescue. Chuck will be remembered as a man who was always there for his family and friends whenever they needed a helping hand and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Chuck was predeceased by his grandparents.Surviving are his wife Judi of Newfield; his parents, Hubie and Ginger Cluett of Gloucester, MA; a daughter, Ginger Cluett of Epping, NH; two step children, Nicole and Chris Taylor of Newfield; two grandchildren, Shaun George and Jason of New Hampshire; a sister Robin Moulton of Barnstable, MA; a niece, Samantha, her husband Mike and their two children, of Gloucester, MA; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 19th at the Shapleigh Corner Baptist Church in Shapleigh. A time of refreshment and fellowship will follow the service in the church annex.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Newfield Fire Department, P.O.
