Robert C. Clark, (Bob), age 57, passed away on May 14 at his home in Chattanooga, TN. Born and raised in Ocean Park, Maine, Bob graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School, where he received a "Who's Who in High School Music" award and was a history major at the University of Maine. He worked first as an OOB Police Officer, then later as a dispatcher for the OOB, Wells and Portland Police Departments, as well as the state police and York County Sheriff's department. He was also a licensed EMT and found great satisfaction in helping others.Bob had a life-long interest in railroads and model railroading. His love of trains began as a child, standing in the middle of the road in front of his home to catch sight of trains at the crossing in the distance. Later, he would hop on empty box cars and "ride the rails" to Rigby Yard in South Portland. As an adult, he made many trips with friends throughout the U.S. and Canada to see and photograph trains, and was an avid model railroad hobbyist. His move to Chattanooga rewarded him with a hundred or more trains a day rolling by his favorite viewing spots.Bob was predeceased by his parents, John H. Clark Sr. and Ellen Peverill Clark, and his nephew, Carl DiPietro. He is survived by his brother, John H. Clark Jr. and his wife, Elaine; sisters Catherine Clark and JoEllen Clark; nieces Kristen Drouin and Gina DiPietro; nephew John H. Clark, III and great nephews Parker and Aiden Drouin and John H.
