Kathleen V. Chevalier

Kathleen V. Chevalier, 58, of Sanford died on October 1, 2009 at H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Kathleen was born in Sanford on July 30, 1951 to Franklin and Virginia (Nason) Varney. She grew up in Kennebunk and attended local schools, graduating from Kennebunk High School in 1970. Following high school Kathleen went to work for Morning Star Corporation in Kennebunk where she stayed until 1975 when she married her husband, Rene Chevalier. They were married for 34 years and together raised two sons.Kathleen enjoyed doing interior decorating and spending time with her family. She loved cats and was particularly fond of her cat Muffin. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Surviving are her husband, Rene Chevalier of Sanford; two sons, Scott Chevalier of Sanford and Barry Chevalier and his wife Stacey of Sanford; a sister, Gail Twyman and her husband Daniel of Florida; a niece, Audra Boudreau of Florida and a nephew, Harry Brown of Kennebunk.Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 4th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford.
