Gail M. Chasse

Gail Marie Chasse, 58, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at the Greenwood Center with her family by her side following a long illness. She was born in Sanford on August 3, 1954 a daughter of Richard and Marion (Penney) Bedell. She grew up in Sanford then moved to Shapleigh and graduated from Massebesic High School. On July 20, 1973 she married Carl (Sonny) Chasse and they started their family. Gail was employed at the family business, Sanford Butcher Shop working along with her husband, Sonny. Gail greeted everyone with her beautiful smile, helping hands and kind words. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping and decorating her home and spending time with her family and friends and grandchildren. Gail was a beloved beautiful friend to everyone she met and will missed by all of us. Gail's family would like to thank the staff at Goodall Hospital and the Greenwood Center nursing home for the care that was given to her during the last days of need.Gail is predeceased by her beloved son, Jason Chasse and her brother, Dennis Bedell.She is survived by her husband, Carl Sonny Chasse, daughter, Karie Basinger and her husband, Thomas, three grandchildren, Austin, Jordon and Molly all of Sanford. She is also survived by her mother, Marion Bedell of Shapleigh, father, Richard Bedell of Sanford, sister, Debbie Gilbert,brothers, Gary Bedell and his wife, Joanne, Richard Bedell and his wife,Susan. She is also survived by sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews.Visiting hours for Gail will be on Sunday from 4 to 7PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
