Mary A. Cesario
Mary Annette Carlucci Cesario passed away Tuesday, June 24 2014 at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford, Maine. Surrounded by her loving family in her last weeks, Mary was born June 27, 1927 in Barre, Vermont to Anne Teresa Tomasi and James Nicola Carlucci, the youngest of four children. She was a 1945 graduate of Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont and a 1947 graduate of The Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, Massachusetts. She lived her life, practiced her profession and raised her children in Boston, Massachusets, Springfield, Vermont and Sanford, Maine. A long-time volunteer at Goodall Hospital, Mary also worked for many years at the optometric practice of her son-in-law, Albert Mastraccio. Nonni made the best pie crust in the world, loved shopping for bargains in Marden's and Marshall's and was a whiz at crossword puzzles. She loved her family and they loved her. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Anthony and Vincent, as well as her husband of forty years, Arthur Cesario. She is survived by her children; Arthur Michael (Mickey) Cesario and his wife Ellie, Anne-Marie Mastraccio and her husband Al, Allison Paton and her husband John, Andrea Cesario, Angela Delorme and her husband Tim, Amy Corcoran and her husband Jim, Alise Koocher and her husband Scott, and Annette Terison and her husband Phil; her grandchildren, Paul and Mark Cesario, Carla D'Alessandro, Joseph Mastraccio, Nicholas, Anthony, Patrick and Elissa Guerrette, Ryan and Jonathan Delorme, Heather Dodge, Trevor and Jimmy Corcoran, Andrew and Alex Koocher, and Christopher and Connor Terison. She was fortunate to have five great-grandchildren, twins Joey and Giovanni, Gia, Michael and Max. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue, Sanford. A luncheon will immediately follow at the St. Therese Parish Hall on Riverside Avenue in Sanford. Burial will take place later this summer in Barre, Vermont.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
