Maurice G. Caron

Maurice G. Caron, 76, of Alfred, died on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Maurice was born in Sanford on June 11, 1935 to Ernest and Marguerite (Godin) Caron and attended local schools. He was employed for 32 years at the Maine Turnpike Authority before retiring in 1993. He was an avid fan of the Celtics, Red Sox and the New England Patriots.Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Doris J. (Marchand) Caron of Alfred; five step-sons, Steven, Michael, Gordon, Richard and Timothy Adjutant; two step-daughters, Sheryl Riley and Mary Pilon; two sons, Maurice F. and Stuart J. Caron; three daughters, Sharon Hardy, Elise Hawkins and Lorna Caron; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Romeo Caron and three sisters, Cecile Roberge, Lorraine DeCourt and Rachel Martel.At Maurice's request there will be no services.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Heart Association, 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, Maine 04074 or the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, Maine 04330-5615.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
