Robert R. Campbell
Robert R. Campbell, 60, of Sanford, died April 13 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland after a long illness with cancer.He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 24, 1946 and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.Bob had been employed with Pratt Whitney in North Berwick. At the time of his death he was employed with TDBanknorth in Portland as Vice President of the Business Unit Web Support.His family recalled his sense of humor, how he loved to laugh and makes others laugh. At work his special and fabulous co-workers named him 'Mr. Fun.' He had an artistic side as he loved drawing, painting, gardening and photography. He also enjoyed working with computers. He was an animal lover and will be especially missed by his dogs Chelsea and Moses. A family man, he was a lifelong supporter and companion to his wife and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and granddaughter.He was a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. He was predeceased by his mother Marie Durant.Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Joanie (LaRossa) Campbell of Sanford, a son Chris Campbell of Sanford, a daughter, Diana Campbell and her fiance Shaun Cloutier of Waterboro, the love of his life, granddaughter Kylie Cloutier of Waterboro, 2 brothers, Scotty Campbell and George Campbell, his mother in law Gertrude LaRossa of New York and his brother and sister in law, Sal and Peggi Coscina of New York.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 :30 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.The family wishes to thank all the people at TDBanknorth for their support during this difficult time.
