Richard V. Camire

Richard V. Camire, 79, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Southern Maine Health Care in Sanford.Richard was born on July 13, 1936 to Emile and Irene (Armstrong) Camire in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. In 1962 he married Theresa A. Pelchat and together they shared 53 years of marriage and raised three children. During his working life Richard worked at several places including Universal Shoe, Aerofab, Brooks Woolen, Dunkin Donuts and Fi Wood.Richard had been a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford. He enjoyed puttering around his house, spending time with his family and going for daily walks holding hands with his wife. Richard will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Richard is survived by his wife, Theresa Camire of Sanford; three daughters, Carol Lantagne and her husband Paul of Sanford, Diane Dubois and her husband Richard of Sanford and Barbara Guillemette and her husband Roberto of Springvale; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 26th at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300, Topsham, Maine 04086.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
