Sanford, MaineRichard H. Bragg,, Sr., 81, of 68 North Ave., died Friday May 17, 2002.He was born in Acton on October 24, 1920, one of 13 children born to William and Mary Elizabeth (Witham) Bragg, and attended school in Acton, Maine. Richard lived in Acton until moving to Sanford in 1984.He was a Marine Veteran of World War II.Richard had done various jobs throughout his life. From working for Diprizo lumber, American Cyanamid/Cyro, and doing various logging jobs. He is most remembered by the many summer tourists who would turn the water on their cottages each spring.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Norma (Gordon) Bragg; three sons Richard (Helen) Bragg, Jr. of Sanford; Thomas (Pauline) Bragg of Alfred; Stephen (Irene) Bragg of Sanford; and one daughter Karen Stevens of Wells. Six Grandchildren: Timmy (Tammy) Bragg of Sanford, Jennifer (Paul) Levesque of Nashua, NH, Kim Boothby of Saco, Craig Bragg of Moorsville, NC., Petty Officer Keith (Julia) Neville of Patuxent River, MD and Christie Ouelette of Sanford. Six Great-Grandchildren: Felicia and Angelica Levesque; Justen, Kyla and Shayna Bragg; and Kevin Michael Neville. Three sister and one brother; Eldora Clarrage of Wells, Mearle Kimball of Sanford, Ethel Williams of Acton and Lloyd "Don" Bragg of Acton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may cal from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Tuesday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, where a funeral is to follow at 3:00 PM on Tuesday.
