Laurette R. Bourque

Laurette Rouillard Bourque, 85, of Sanford, passed away in Scarborough on June 25, 2013. She was born in Sanford on August 26, 1927 a daughter of the late Joseph and RoseAnna (Bruneau) Rouillard. She attended Sanford Schools and graduated from Sanford High in 1945.Following graduation she worked as a machine operator for Eastern Plastics. In 1949 she married Armand Bourque, the love of her life. Together they raised a loving, appreciative family. In 1972 they purchased a local clothing store, Mailhot's and operated the business for two decades.Among some of Laurette's favorite activities were baking, sewing, gardening, bus trips and dancing.Laurette was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Noella Ryder and brothers, Maurice and Ronald.She is survived by her daughter, Rachel and her daughters, Andrea and husband Rich Galang, Kimberly and husband Jeremy Desrochers; her son Michael and her grandchildren, Amy and husband Brian Valentine, Ryan and his fiancee Emily and great granddaughter Peyton; and her son Richard. She is also survived by her sisters, Rhea Charpentier and Cecile Berard. Following the death of her husband Armand, Laurette was blessed with the dear friendship of Bob Guillemette.Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 27th from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
