Gloria N. Bougie

Gloria Nason Bougie, 81, of Springvale, passed away on September 19 after a brief illness.Gloria was born in Springvale on November 23, 1928 the daughter of Ernest and Doris (Bride) Nason. She attended local schools and was a 1945 graduate of Sanford High School.She married Laurent Bougie on February 22, 1947 and together they made their home in Springvale where they raised 3 sons. She was predeceased by one of her sons, Gregory, in 2002.Gloria was employed for many years prior to her retirement at the Springvale National Bank. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Laurent J. Bougie of Springvale, 2 sons, Carl Bougie of Springvale, Ronald Bougie of Auburn, and by 3 granddaughters, Andrea Bougie and Laurel Bougie, both of Wells, and Amber Bougie of Auburn.A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
