Theresa Blanchette

Theresa M. Blanchette, 93, a lifelong resident of Springvale, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Newton Center in Sanford. Born in St. Hyacinth, P.Q., Canada, on December 19, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Onalda (Jodoin) Blanchette.The family moved to Springvale from Canada when Theresa was young. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Parish. For many years she had been employed in the local shoe shops and then cared for her ailing parents.She is survived by one sister, Madeline Jolin of Springvale as well as many nieces and nephews.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale.
