Margaret G. Blaisdell

Margaret (Marggie) Gosline Blaisdell, formerly of Springvale, died at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.Margaret was born March 13, 1924 in Gardiner. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Kathryn (Wadsworth) Gosline.Margaret graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield and from Nasson College in Springvale. After college, Margaret worked for the Maine Extension Service for a time, was a 4-H club leader and taught evening school for a number of years. She served the Town of Sanford as a member of the Historical Committee for a number of years.In addition to her husband Winston of 44 years and her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her sister Mary Frances and brothers, Walter, Arthur and Robert.Surviving are her son Tom Blaisdell and wife Carolyn of Buxton, daughter Donna Male and husband Henry Male, their daughter Katie Male of Fountain Hills, Arizona.A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. George's Episcopal Church, located on Emerson Street in Sanford at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22nd.At Margaret's request there will be no visiting hours.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Sanford-Springvale YMCA, P.O.
