Ruby M. Young

Ruby M. Young, 75, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at her residence in Sanford. She was born in West Newfield, Maine on April 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Chester and Effie (Hill) Pierce. She attended schools in Waterboro, Alfred and Sanford.She was a member of the Sanford First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and crafts as well as country and gospel music.She is predeceased by one daughter, Cynthia Crowley.She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Young of Sanford, one daughter, Debbie Morin of Sanford, five grandsons, six great grandchildren, six sisters, Audrey Guillemette of California, Margaret Gilliam of Portland, Arvena Fogg of Auburn, Janet Morin of Springvale, Janice Smith of Florida, Rita Daney of Alfred, two brothers, Ray Pierce of Kennebunk and Roy Pierce of Greenville, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.A Funeral Service for Mrs. Young will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
