Jeanne Verville

Jeanne C. Verville, 86, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday May 27, 2010 at the Newton Center in Sanford. Born on March 5, 1924, in Sanford, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna (Guilmette) Verville. She attended local schools graduating from St. Ignatius High School.Following graduation she was employed at the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. She then worked as a secretary at the Pentagon for 17 years. When she moved back to Sanford she was employed by Pioneer Plastics and retired with 26 years of service from Sander's Associates in Nashuas having worked in the legal department.In addition to her parents she is predeceased by three sisters, Beatrice Verville, Theresa Verville and Mildred Verville.Survivors include her brother, George Verville of Alfred and sister, Lillian Nason of Sanford.At her request there will be no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 9 :30 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.The family wishes to acknowledge the Newton Center staff for the excellent care given to Jeanne during the past five years.Those desiring an expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the Newton Center Activities Fund, 35 July St., Sanford, ME 04073.
