Marilan F. VanTassel

Marilan F. VanTassel, 79, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday April 13, 2008 at the Newton Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Thomaston, Maine on September 19, 1928, a daughter of Harry and Minnie (Haigh) Goodwin. In the early 1960's she had been employed at the Pepperell Mill in Biddeford. She then worked at Morning Star and retired in 1992 from Sprague Electric. She enjoyed horse racing, cooking, canasta, yathzee and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.She is predeceaesd by four children, James Stone, David Stone, Ernestine D. Ramos 'Tina', Larry Stone.She is survived by her children, James A. Stone and his wife, Susan of North Carolina, Gary Stone and his wife, Joanne of Sanford, Steve Stone of Old Orchard Beach, David Stone and his wife, Diane of Sanford, Karen Chagnon and her husband, Wayne of Porter, Paul Maberry of Saco, Eleanor Bedard of Arundel, Earl Maberry of Waterboro, Scott Maberry of Tennessee and Lisa Stone of Sanford.
