Virginia B. Turner, 82, fondly known as "Ginny," passed peacefully in her sleep January 13, 2012 at Greenwood Nursing Center in Sanford. Ginny was born June 27, 1929 and remained a lifelong resident of Alfred. She attended school where the current fire station is and worked at the Four Winds Coffee House, currently Conant House Reality in Alfred Center.Her hobbies were regular games of Bingo, cooking and country music. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, stuffed animals and anything strawberries. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Everett Turner Sr., also a resident of Greenwood Center. Ginny has three children: Everett Turner Jr. and wife Martha of Hollis; Brenda Beaulieu and husband Dennis of Lyman; and Markus Turner of Deltona, FL. She is predeceased by a son Todd, who passed in 1986. She is also survived by sister Lucille of Middlefield CT., 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and lifelong friend, Rita Reeves of Alfred.A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 25th at 1:00 at Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred. Friends and family will gather after the ceremony at 3 Swan Shores Drive in Lyman. Donations in Virginia's memory may be made to the Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, 1142 Main Street, Sanford, Maine 04073.
