Helen M. Berry

Helen M. Berry, 97, of East Parsonsfield, died March 7, 2007 at Greenwood Center in Sanford.Helen was born in East Parsonsfield on August 24, 1909 to J. Frank and Queenie Lane Fenderson and attended local schools. She was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing cards. Helen was a devoted wife and mother and got a lot of enjoyment out of taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and took pride in preparing wonderful meals for her family. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.Helen was predeceased by her husband, Carl Berry and two children, Maybelle McDonald and Kenneth Berry.Surviving are two sons, George Berry of Parsonsfield, ME and Delwin Berry and his wife Mabel of Effingham, NH; four daughters, Bessy Lane of Cornish, ME, Kathleen Levesque and her husband Lionel of North Monmouth, ME, Barbara Libby and her husband Leon of Bowdoinham, ME and Jeanne Warner and her husband Robert of Parsonsfield, ME; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. A period of visitation will be held, on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service following at 12:00 PM. at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Greenwood Center Activities Fund, 1142 Main Street, Sanford, Maine 04073.
