Perl Beety

Perl Keith Beety Sr., 73, of Springvale, passed away peacefully at home on March 29 after a long illness.He was born in Hollis Center on February 27, 1937, the son of George and Geneva Beety.He was a veteran of the US Army, serving first as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and then in the 101 Screaming Eagle Air Borne. He was employed over the years as a plumber, a steeplejack and a painter.His pastimes were boating and fishing and racing stock cars. He was an avid NASCAR fan.He was predeceased by his siblings David Beety, Gerry Beety, Sandra Beety and Marie Norman.Survivors include his daughter Debbie Dubois of North Carolina, his sons Robert of Alfred, Perl Keith Jr. of Lebanon and Troy of Sanford, sisters Georgie Provencher of Florida, Georgia Guertin and Margaret Crowley of Sanford, brothers Jovis Beety of Florida, George Beety of Elliotteville, grandchildren Joy and David Dubois of North Carolina, Sandria, Hannah, Shelby, 2 great grandchildren Isaiah and Camden, his best friend David Krauss of Florida and his dog KK.Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Perl's life to be held on Tuesday, April 13 at 6:00 pm at the Wolves Club in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
