Orpha Beaudoin

Orpha C. Beaudoin, 91, of Portland and formerly of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born in St. Isodore, Canada on April 11, 1917, a daughter of Auguste and Sarah (Robichaud) Mauzerolle.For many years she was employed as a sales clerk at The Paris and Hooz's clothing stores in Sanford. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Parish. She was an avid Square Dancer and enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Aldas Beaudoin and one daughter, Norma Jeanne Beaudoin.She is survived by her children, Betty Ann Brown and her husband, Arthur "Skip" of Portland, Robert Beaudoin and his wife, Lillie of Tyler, Texas, Raymond Beaudoin and his wife, Ann of Sanford, Richard Beaudoin and his wife, Diane of Scarborough, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Emily Mutty of Sanford and Rita Tetreau of Dover, NH. The family wishes to express our profound gratitude to those who helped our mother in her hour of need. From the first responders to the staff at Maine Medical Center, all were key in giving comfort and help beyond expectation. We are especially grateful to the medical professionals on SCU-4 at Maine Medical Center who are not only truly gifted in what they do but deeply compassionate people as well. You will always be remembered for your kindness.Visiting hours will be on Sunday, April 12 from 5 :00 to 8 :00 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 :00 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave., Sanford.
