Frances R. Swett

Frances R. Swett, 91, a longtime resident of Waterboro, died March 8 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford after a long illness.She was born in Boston, MA on August 19, 1916, the daughter of Leo and Frances (Sullivan) Brady, and attended schools in Brighton, MA.Frances loved to cook, and the weekly Saturday night bean suppers in her home were a big event oftentimes drawing 20 people to the table.Her husband Maurice R. Swett, Sr., died in 1989.Survivors include her son, Maurice R. Swett, Jr. and his companion Lorraine Toothaker, 2 daughters, Patricia F. Swett, Virginia M. Day and her husband Donald, all of E. Waterboro, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery in So. Waterboro. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Stephen the Martyr Episcopal Church, P.
