David E. St. Cyr, 64, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence as a result of health complications. He was born on May 30, 1955 to Florian and Marie (Yolande) St. Cyr in Sanford where he grew up and attended local schools. He spent most of his life residing in Maine, except for some time spent in New Jersey and Boston.He was employed at Tilcon in Portland for 25 years as a welder and at the Maine State Turnpike Authority for a number of years as well.In more recent years David was proud to work on Treasure Hunter Ship, a Maine company who where he traveled around salvaging ship wrecks. He enjoyed this adventure and was able to sail to Haiti, to help with hurricane relief. Being a lifelong hobbyist, a important past time was photography and was passed down from his family and shared this with his children. He was also a HAM radio enthusiast and, loved to learn and research the details of those passions. David was known as a sea man, a man's man, and someone who lived life the way he wanted. He was fun and intelligent and liked to know something about everything. He was a present and caring father, who loved his children very much and was proud of them. David is predeceased by his parents, a granddaughter Kaya Robertshaw, and a nephew Soren Torno. Survivors include his daughter Lindsay and her husband Ira Stockwell III, of Gorham, and his sons Michael St. Cyr of Gorham and Johnathan St. Cyr of Kennebunk, a grandson Marshal David St. Cyr and a granddaughter Ella Marie Stockwell, a sister Suzanne Torno and her husband Max, of Lebanon and his niece Victoria Torno.A private family celebration of life is to be held.To leave a message of condolence click tab at left.rrangements are pending.
