George Gregory Spencer
George Gregory Spencer, "Spence", 54, of Arundel, formerly of Sanford Maine died July 29 at home. He had been battling numerous health issues for a several years. George was born in Dover, Delaware March 1, 1963 the son of the late George Allen Spencer and Joanne Pelletier Demers, he attended schools in Sanford Maine. George served 2 years in the Navy aboard the USS John F Kennedy visiting numerous ports around the world. He worked for Structure & Design, Northeast Painting, Auget, Thomas & Betts, Mill Street Market & Provo's and also did masonry work in the past. He enjoyed his time as assistant coach for Prime Time Video Softball Team. His team won the district championship the year that he coached. He recently shared some of his greatest joys in life were his beautiful granddaughter Georgia, his recent night by the bonfire at his son's house and the fact that cannabis is finally legal!Surviving are his mother Joanne Demers and her husband Alfred; his son Ryan Spencer and his partner Erica Richardson and granddaughter Georgia of Sanford; his daughter Jennifer Spencer; his sister Jessica Lison and her husband Mike Lison of Scarborough, his sister Cindy Spencer and her partner Roger Hall of Sanford along with several nieces and nephews.He is also survived by good friends Jennifer and Robert Richardson. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 4th at St. Ignatius Cemetery located on Berwick Road in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
