Nancy L. Smith

Nancy L. Smith, 70, of Springvale, died at her home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.Nancy was born on December 16, 1944 to Laurent "Babe" and Winnie (Smith) Young in Springvale where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1963. She was employed as a clerk at the York County Registry of Deeds in Alfred for over 30 years.Nancy was a devoted family woman. She was known for her creative knitting, her delicious baked goodies and her gardening. She had been a member of the Wolves Club, the American Legion and was an animal lover. She was especially fond of her dog Kona. Nancy enjoyed light houses, going to the beach, bird watching from her deck and was an avid Yankees fan. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, Grammy and "Neena" and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Surviving are her love, Donny Wold of Springvale; three daughters, Lisa Harmon and her husband Zachary of Kennebunk, Lori O'Keefe and her husband Mike of Rochester and Alyson Seegmueller and her husband Fred of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Nicholas, his wife Ayla and their daughter Alivia, Dylan, Jess and her partner Taylor and Keira; two sisters, Jay Caruso and her husband Jim of Succasunna, New Jersey, Lucille of Florida; several step-children and many other extended family members.Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 with a funeral service following at 1:00 on Saturday, January 3rd at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
