Samuli K. Sippola

Samuli K. Sippola, 77, of Lebanon, Maine, passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2007 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Finland on March 11, 1930, a son of Eino and Jenni (Tulppo) Sippola. In August of 1952 he married the former Matilda Arvola in Finland.In 1962 Samuli and Matilda along with their daughter Ritva immigrated to this country making their home in Clinton, MA. In 1983 the family moved locally to Lebanon. Samuli worked as a builder and contractor his entire life. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years, Matilda P. Sippola of Lebanon, Maine, one daughter, Ritva Luuri and her husband, Kari of Milford, MA, one son, Michael Sippola and his wife, Kathleen of Richmond, Maine, one grandson, Jared Luuri, as well as five brothers and two sisters,2 all of whom reside in Finland and Sweden.A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 1pm at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.In lieu of flowers contribution may be made in his memory to the Maine Leukemia Foundation, Post Office Box 56, North Monmouth, Maine 04265.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
