Anne E. "Pam" (Parrinello) Scott, 89, of Derby, Vermont, died on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Derby Green Nursing home in Derby.Pam was born to Antonio and Michela (Lentini) Parrinello in Marsala, Sicily on April 1, 1926, the oldest of four children. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1927 and settled in Natick, Massachusetts where she grew up and attended local schools. She enrolled in a nursing program at St. Elizabeth Hospital and graduated as a registered nurse in 1946. She maintained many lifelong friendships from her time at nursing school. Pam met her future husband, Phillippe Scott, while attending a mutual friends wedding. They were married in 1948 and spent 68 years together. Pam and Phil raised their family in Hudson, Massachusetts where they enjoyed the closeness of family and friends. They relocated to Sanbornville, New Hampshire in 1976 before eventually settling in Rochester, New Hampshire where they lived for 25 years, becoming very active in both their community and their church.Pam continued her nursing career in New Hampshire working at hospitals in Dover and several assisted living homes in Portsmouth and Rochester before finally retiring at the age of 75. To all of the family children and grandchildren she was known as memre. Though this sounded French she was hands down the best cook of anything Italian, especially meatballs!Pam enjoyed a lifetime of singing and was devoted to her friends in the "Clementines," a group of women who sang and gave concerts throughout the New Hampshire Seacoast. Pam and Phil were the hub of all family activities no matter where they lived. Their friends and family will always remember and cherish the memories they shared together.Pam was predeceased by her sister, Jen Pease, her grandson, Eric Luciano and her parents.Surviving are her husband, Phil of Derby Vermont; her daughters, Pat Moccia of Derby, Vermont and Michele Swed of Salem, New Hampshire; a son, Steve Scott of Limerick; two brothers, Salvatore Parinello of Natick, Massachusetts and Pasquale Parinello on New York, New York; six grandsons, Craig Balben, Matt Balben, Phil Balben, Josh Luciano, Anthony Moccia and Mike Hussey Scott; three granddaughters, Stephanie Ripley, Lauren Harrington and Camilla Luciano-Scott and several great-grandchildren.Services for Pam will be held at a future date.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
