Kenneth I Sawyer

Kenneth I. Sawyer, 75 of Springvale, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born in Springvale on November 28, 1941 a son of the late Sewell and Venus (Smith) Sawyer.Kenneth was employed as a machinist for many years retiring from W.S. Bessett in Sanford.He is predeceased by his first wife, Janice (Gooding) Sawyer, second wife, Dottie (Oulton) Sawyer, one brother, Ralph Sawyer.He is survived by his children, Wendi Belanger and her husband, Brian of Biddeford, Diane Frechette of Biddeford, Richard Lawrence and his wife, Jennifer of Sanford, sister Marjorie Johnson and her husband Robert of Portland, five grandchildren, Anthony Wilson, Patrick Wilson, Shane Belanger, Tori Lawrence, Hunter Frechette.A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Saturday February 25th from 1 to 4PM at the Town Club, 4 Washington Street in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations in his memory to the American Lung Association, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330 or the American Cancer Association, New England Division 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com.
